A Meaningful Day Rooted in Faith & Family

Some wedding days feel like stepping into a soft, sun-lit story — full of warmth, grace, and a kind of joy that settles deep into your heart. Brooke and Micah’s summer wedding at The Cedars at Carr Farm was exactly that. I had the honor of second-shooting for my sweet friend, Kate Ming Photo, and from the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a day I’d hold close.

Nestled among rolling Tennessee fields, the venue radiated that quiet, peaceful charm only a countryside wedding can bring. The air felt still, the sunlight warm, and the entire day carried a beautiful reverence — one woven with faith, family, and deep connection.

Getting Ready — Champagne, Worship Music & Happy Tears

I arrived to find Brooke surrounded by her bridesmaids — champagne popping, music playing, and laughter spilling out of the bridal suite. It was the perfect balance of excitement and sweetness, the kind of energy that sets the tone for the entire day.

While I photographed Brooke’s details (her soft florals, sentimental jewelry, and thoughtfully chosen invitation suite), her friends cheered her on as she finished getting ready. Every moment felt intimate and joyful.

One of the most emotional parts of the morning was when Brooke and Micah exchanged gifts and handwritten letters. Each of them teared up reading the words meant only for the other — a quiet, sacred pause in an otherwise buzzing morning.

And instead of a first look, they chose a first touch — where they stood back-to-back, held hands around a corner, and prayed together. The moment was powerful, reverent, and full of presence. A reminder that their marriage was built on something far deeper than the day itself.

A Ceremony Filled With Faith, Worship, and Pure Emotion

The ceremony unfolded outdoors beneath the Tennessee summer sky — soft light, a gentle breeze, and rows of family and friends ready to witness their vows.

From the moment Brooke walked down the aisle, Micah’s face said everything. Tears were falling before she even reached him.

The ceremony was full of worshipful moments that brought the entire crowd to tears — hands lifted, voices carrying through the countryside, and two hearts entering into covenant with reverence and joy.

When they were finally pronounced husband and wife, Brooke and Micah walked back up the aisle beaming — hugged tightly by their favorite people as soon as they reached the end. These emotional, unposed moments are the ones I always hold onto.

Golden-Hour Portraits Full of Warmth & Quiet Joy

After family photos wrapped, we moved into newlywed portraits around the property — and The Cedars at Carr Farm absolutely delivered the most magical light.

The golden Tennessee sun wrapped around them as we took portraits that felt timeless, tender, and softly editorial. Brooke’s dress caught the evening breeze, Micah held her close, and every frame felt like a still from a summer romance film.

It was a moment for them to breathe, to soak in the day, and to just be — husband and wife at last.

A Celebration Filled With Laughter, Dancing & All Their Favorite People

The cocktail hour was warm and lively, overflowing with joy. Every hug, every cheer, every shared smile felt soaked in gratitude.

Brooke and Micah’s wedding was the kind of celebration that reminds you why gathering your people matters so deeply.

A Wedding I’ll Always Remember

From tender prayers to golden-hour portraits to a ceremony that felt like holy ground, Brooke and Micah’s wedding at The Cedars at Carr Farm was a beautiful reflection of who they are — full of faith, love, family, and so much genuine joy.

I’m so grateful to have been part of their day and capture moments that will live on in their story forever.
