Event Summary:

Ellie & Nathan’s Summer Couple Session in St. Louis

Ellie and Nathan’s session at Forest Park in St. Louis felt like spending a summer afternoon with two people completely wrapped up in each other.

There was something so sweet about the way they moved through the day together. They laughed easily, chased each other through the park, rode bikes side by side, and somehow made even the simplest moments feel romantic.

We let the afternoon unfold naturally, moving through Forest Park and letting each little moment lead us into the next. There were playful moments — running after each other, laughing until they couldn’t keep going, and even a few cartwheels — but underneath all of it was this really tender connection between them.

The kind of love that doesn’t need much direction.

You could see it in the way Nathan looked at Ellie when she wasn’t paying attention. In the way Ellie would reach for him without thinking. In the way they could be completely ridiculous together one second and then fall into a quiet, sweet moment the next.

Those are the moments I love photographing most.

I never want a couple session to feel like two people showing up and trying to perform for a camera. I want it to feel like an afternoon you actually want to remember. Something you would have done together anyway — just with me there to preserve it.

Not perfection. Not perfectly posed moments.

Just two people who are wildly comfortable loving each other exactly as they are.

Ellie and Nathan, I loved getting to photograph this season of your relationship. Your love is so sweet, playful, and genuine, and I hope these photographs always bring you back to this little summer afternoon — the feeling of being young, in love, and completely yourselves together.

The kind of memories you don’t realize you’ll miss until years later.
