Event Summary:

Audrey & Greg’s Summer Couple Session

There’s something about summer evenings that makes everything feel a little slower.

For Audrey and Greg’s couple session, we kept things simple and spent the evening doing something that felt completely like them — fishing by the pond, laughing, being playful, and eventually settling in to watch the sun go down together.

It wasn’t about creating a perfectly styled photoshoot. It was about giving them space to just be together and letting the photographs happen around them.

We started with fishing, which naturally turned into plenty of teasing, laughing, and those little playful moments that happen when two people are completely comfortable with each other. Some of my favorite photographs from the session came from the moments in between the ones we technically “planned” — the looks, the laughter, the way they interacted without thinking about the camera.

As the evening went on, everything got quieter.

The light softened, the pond became still, and we ended the session sitting together and watching the sun disappear. There was something so simple and beautiful about it — two people spending an ordinary summer evening together and getting to preserve it exactly as it felt.

That’s what I love most about couple sessions.

You don’t need a complicated location or a perfectly planned activity. Sometimes the best photographs come from doing something you already love together. Fishing. Getting coffee. Riding bikes. Making dinner. Going to your favorite bar. Watching the sunset.

I want your photographs to feel like your relationship, not like you’re playing a part for the camera.

For Audrey and Greg, that meant a summer evening by the water, a little fishing, a lot of laughing, and ending the night beneath the last bit of golden light.

The kind of evening you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.
