From Their Wedding Day to Their Anniversary Session

Getting to photograph Nina and Matt again almost two years after their wedding felt like such a full-circle moment.

I first photographed their wedding in April 2024, and now I had the chance to document another chapter of their story with an anniversary session in Franklin, Tennessee. While their wedding day was filled with all the excitement and emotion of such a big milestone, this session felt quieter, slower, and completely like them.

As a Franklin TN wedding and couples photographer, these are some of my favorite sessions to photograph. There’s something so meaningful about getting to reconnect with my couples after their wedding day and document what their life together looks like now.

For Nina and Matt, that meant spending a morning at Hanks Coffee, one of their favorite coffee shops in Franklin. We caught up on life, laughed, talked like old friends, and took photos in between it all. Even though Hanks was busy that morning, the entire session felt relaxed and natural.

That’s what I love most about anniversary photography and couples sessions in Franklin TN — they don’t have to feel overly posed or complicated. Your session can simply be an extension of your real life and the places that mean something to you.

I’m so thankful that being a Nashville and Franklin TN photographer has allowed me to build relationships with couples like Nina and Matt — couples who invite me back into their lives and trust me to keep documenting their story long after the wedding day is over.

Nina and Matt, I loved getting to spend the morning with you both. Thank you for letting me crash your coffee date, catch up on life, and photograph the two of you exactly as you are.

I hope these photos always bring you back to this season — the coffee, the laughter, the conversations, and the simple happiness of being together.
