Alicia & Sean’s Spring Wedding at Westwind Hills

There are some wedding days that stay with you long after you’ve packed up your cameras and driven home, and Alicia and Sean’s wedding at West Wind Hills in Pacific, Missouri is one of those days for me.

From the moment I arrived, the entire day felt easy in the most beautiful way. Bright spring florals, warm light, thoughtful details, and so many people who clearly adore these two. Nothing felt overly produced or rushed. It was simply a really beautiful day centered around two genuinely wonderful people.

And I absolutely adore Alicia and Sean.

Getting to know them and then being trusted to document this chapter of their lives was such a gift. They have the kind of relationship that feels effortless to be around — full of laughter, warmth, and the quiet little moments that say so much without needing to be photographed perfectly.

Their wedding day was filled with those moments.

The anticipation while getting ready. The little glances between them. The hugs that lasted a little longer than expected. Friends and family laughing together. The happy tears. The moments in between everything that probably would have gone unnoticed if no one was paying attention.

Those are the photographs I’m always looking for.

Of course, there were beautiful details everywhere. Their spring florals brought so much color and life into the day, and West Wind Hills created such a beautiful backdrop for everything to unfold. But what I loved most was that the beauty never overshadowed the people. Everything felt intentional while still feeling completely natural.

I photographed their wedding using both digital and film, which is one of my favorite ways to tell a wedding story. Digital allows me to move quickly and preserve the fleeting moments as they happen, while film adds that softer, nostalgic quality that makes certain memories feel almost like they already belong to another time.

Together, they create a gallery that feels layered and lived-in — beautiful portraits, meaningful details, and all of the imperfect little moments that made the day theirs.

That’s always my goal when I photograph a wedding.

I want you to have the photographs you’ll frame and the ones you’ll send to your parents, but I also want you to have the photographs you didn’t even know were happening. The way your dad looked at you before you walked down the aisle. Your friends losing it on the dance floor. Your partner reaching for your hand without thinking about it. The quiet five minutes you got together in the middle of a very full day.

Because when you look back years from now, I don’t think you’ll only want to remember how beautiful everything looked.

You’ll want to remember how it felt.

Alicia and Sean, thank you for letting me into such a meaningful day and trusting me to tell this part of your story. I’m so grateful I got to be there, and even more grateful that I got to know you both along the way.

Your wedding was beautiful because the details were beautiful, but it was unforgettable because you were you.

And that will always be my favorite kind of wedding to photograph.
